UTILITY → SEARCH set to 32 BEATS

Search Beat Jumpv1.1.1Stable

SEARCH or TRACK SEARCH buttons as beat jumps (1–32 beats).

Latest update ·

Fix: with BEAT JUMP BUTTONS = TRACK SEARCH the buttons could stop jumping after a long set until the player was restarted, while SEARCH kept working. TRACK SEARCH presses are now read the same way as SEARCH presses and no longer go through the stock track-search logic, which ignores the buttons in some states (for example when the player runs low on message buffers). In a beat mode TRACK SEARCH now never changes track.

3-band detail waveform with the half overview waveform

3-Band Waveformv1.1.3Stable

CDJ-3000-style 3-band waveforms, half or full overview.

Latest update ·

Fix: loading a track in 3BAND no longer shows another overview for a split second before the 3-band one: after start-up that was the RGB overview, on later loads the previous track’s overview. The overview now stays empty (cue markers only) until the track’s 3-band data is there, the way the detail waveform waits.

The tempo master's 3-band waveform with its beat grid in a strip above this player's detail waveform

Stacked Waveformv1.0.2Beta

The tempo master's waveform above yours, CDJ-3000 style.

Latest update ·

Fixes the builds with BPM Decimals: as soon as the strip appeared (PHASE METER TYPE 3 with another player as tempo master), its buffers overwrote BPM Decimals' code and the screen froze, whatever player was master. If NXS2 decks crashed when an XDJ-AZ as tempo master loaded a track on a build with BPM Decimals, this may have been the cause.

Install guide

These LNNRT Mods work only on the Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS2 with firmware v1.87.

  1. Download the official stock firmware v1.87 for the CDJ-2000NXS2 from the AlphaTheta / Pioneer DJ support site and unzip it to get C2KNXS2.UPD.
  2. In the Patcher tab, tick the mods you want and choose the options.
  3. Drop your stock C2KNXS2.UPD on the file box. It is verified by checksum — only the exact official file can be patched.
  4. Build the patched update and unzip the result. Check manifest.json for the patch versions and the output SHA-256.
  5. Format a USB stick (FAT32), copy the patched C2KNXS2.UPD to its root, and follow the official firmware update procedure for the player (USB source with the update file, hold the requested buttons at power-on as described in AlphaTheta's firmware update guide).
  6. Every LNNRT Mods build installs over any other one, so you can switch builds (or install the same file again) the same way.

Safety & recovery

  • Use at your own risk. Firmware modification can brick a player. Never interrupt power or remove USB during an update.
  • To return to stock, build the stock firmware restore on the Patcher tab and install it like any update. Pioneer's own file cannot do this: every LNNRT Mods build reports version 1.87, and the player skips an update that is not newer than what it runs.
  • The restore is Pioneer's 1.87 file with only its version headers raised (a few bytes differ, checksums included), so the player accepts it. It then runs stock 1.87 again and reports 1.87. Later official updates install as on any stock player.
  • Settings the mods saved (SEARCH BEAT JUMP, BEAT JUMP BUTTONS, GATE CUE, KEY SHIFT, OVERVIEW WAVEFORM TYPE) stay in the player's memory, but stock firmware ignores them. They come back if you install a mod build again.
  • Mods are built for stock v1.87 only. Patching any other file is refused on purpose.
  • Modded firmware may behave differently in modes not covered by the changelog — read the patch details.

Verification & privacy

  • Patching runs entirely in your browser (WebAssembly-free JavaScript). Your firmware file is never uploaded anywhere.
  • Every patch release publishes the expected output SHA-256. After building, compare your manifest.json output hash with the published value to confirm your build matches the reference release bit-for-bit.
  • The patch data is served by this site (release/), so anyone can inspect it. It contains only our own code and patch bytes, never Pioneer firmware.
