FLAC Playback

Plays native FLAC files from USB, from rekordbox playlists and from folders. The deck decodes FLAC to PCM on the fly and plays it as WAV.

Needs
Nothing else: works on its own.
Known limits
  • Experimental: not yet tested on a physical CDJ-2000NXS; audible output and real-time decoding are unverified.
  • Stereo FLAC only, 16 or 24 bit, 44.1 or 48 kHz, block size at most 4608 (all normal rekordbox/ffmpeg encodes). Other files show an error instead of playing.
  • FLAC tracks behave like WAV tracks: the overview waveform is built while the track loads, as for WAV.
  • Local USB only; not over Pro DJ Link, SD or disc. Seeking in files without a seek table can be slower.
  • No artwork or tag import from the FLAC file itself; rekordbox metadata is used as for other formats.
