Beat Numbers
Independent real-grid beat-distance labels ahead of the native playhead, with explicit centered and Left Playhead geometry.
- Player
- Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS, firmware 1.44
- Needs
- Nothing else: works on its own.
- Known limits
- Local USB Away and a synthetic variable grid; no DA810 audio or hardware install/restore proof.
- Center variable five-zoom frames are in the later75BPM regime; Left variable frames are in the first150BPM regime.
- Native time and the last GUI label frame can differ by up to two ticks in frozen oracle comparisons.
- Early modern capture occurred before window creation; it is retained as a failed setup attempt, not counted as a pass.
- The modern coexistence session uses its original five-mod base; its old PLAYER No. Utility defect is repaired separately in later combinations.
- Stack fill is exercised-path evidence, not a worst-case bound; malformed grids/preemption have host rather than native fault-injection coverage.
Changelog
- v0.1.1Latest
- Place labels using actual future beat events and fractional phase instead of average extrapolation.
- Suppress labels in long gridless intros/outros and beyond the last grid event.
- Qualify changed-tempo centered/Left geometry and all waveform styles without guest RAM writes.
- v0.1.0
- Freeze independent v6 native payload, source, tests and guarded two-hook patcher.
- Qualify centered BLUE and explicit Left BLUE/RGB/3-Band across all five zooms.
- Keep earlier centered v5 source and runtime report immutable.
